Liverpool Philharmonic are recruiting for a number of Stewards to join our Front of House Team. The exceptional level of service delivered by our Stewards enhances the event experience for all our visitors. This is a variable hour contract. On average, we anticipate that the work will be approximately 15 hours per week, with the exception of August where we have no events. Given the nature of our operation and this post, working hours will primarily be evenings after 5.30pm, including weekends and bank holidays.

The rate of pay for this role is £7.20 per hour.

General Manager, Bars- Closing date- 12 noon Friday 3 February 2017

Liverpool Philharmonic are recruiting for a General Manager, Bars to co-ordinate and control all operations associated with the bars function of Liverpool Philharmonic, and management of the external catering contract for bespoke events. The priority of this role is to ensure financial performance of wet stock (plus bar snacks) supplier procurement and relationships, and overall customer service and smooth running of the bars and any externally catered events at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. In addition, this post will be responsible for dealing with any Artist Rider catering requests (any food would be sourced externally).

Reporting to the Executive Director, Audiences and Development, this role holder will have the passion to drive the business forward through a strategic and commercially focused approach. Leading a team of approximately 20 staff, including a Bars Manager, this position will be responsible for ensuring event-related hospitality matches the quality of performances that we present on stage.

This is a full-time, permanent position and the salary for the role is £30,000 - £35,000 dependent upon experience.

Reporting to the Event Manager, our Senior Stewarding team is responsible for direct supervision of our Stewards, ensuring that high standards are maintained across all areas of our front of house operation. You will be proactive in ensuring the welfare and safety of all visitors, including key responsibilities during an emergency. You’ll be a natural problem solver, able to take lead when required to ensure that customer issues are dealt with efficiently in our fast paced environment. In addition you will be experienced in conflict resolution (and a holder of a current SIA Door Supervisor Licence). You will enjoy engaging with people from all walks of life, acting as an ambassador for the Hall and promoting its facilities and services with natural flare and an enthusiasm for our charitable aims. Above all you will want to go the extra mile to create positively memorable experiences.
