Liverpool Acoustic is celebrating one of the most revolutionary albums in popular music with a special one‑off event marking 60 Years of Revolver. Taking place in the Music Room on Sunday 25th October, the show features Big Number, fresh from two sold‑out performances of 60 Years of Blonde on Blonde in June, and the sold-out 60 Years of Help! and Rubber Soul last December.
Revolver remains a defining moment in the Beatles’ evolution, blending sharp songwriting, bold studio experimentation and a fearless creative shift that reshaped the sound of the 1960s. From the punch of Taxman and the luminous harmonies of Here, There and Everywhere to the groundbreaking tape‑loop soundscape of Tomorrow Never Knows, the album continues to influence musicians and listeners six decades on.
Big Number, led by Liverpool’s adopted troubadour Thom Morecroft and fellow hosts Mike Blue and Dylan Cassin, will bring their trademark musicianship, rich harmonies and attention to detail to a full performance of the album, alongside era‑defining tracks that showcase the Beatles at their most inventive. As with their previous Dylan and Beatles shows, they’ll be joined by special guests on the night. This is a rare chance for fans to experience Revolver performed live by a band who know how to honour the music while keeping it vibrant and engaging.
