Maestro! Touring celebrates its 30th birthday in June. This year also marks 30 years since Graham Johns (former Section Leader Percussion) commissioned the first of 19 bells that now make up Liverpool Philharmonic’s ‘Forever Bells’ collection.
To mark the 30th anniversary of Maestro! Touring we would like to invite you to contribute towards the 20th (and final) bell of the collection – the ‘Big D’. This bell will be cast in honour of In Harmony Liverpool, a project that we are incredibly passionate about.
As a supporter, you will be invited to join Graham Johns and Ken Grundy for a 36 hour visit to Asten, Holland from 27 – 28 May 2025 to attend the Royal Eijsbouts Foundry and witness the birth of this final bell. Full details and costs of this visit will be sent to all those of you who join us in this project. Any profits from the visit will be donated to In Harmony Liverpool.
Suggested donations are:
£500 for one person
£750 for a couple
£1000 for a family
If you are a UK taxpayer, we can also Gift Aid your donation, enabling us to claim an additional £25 for every £100 donated.
If you would like your name(s) to be inscribed on the 'Big D' bell, email fundraising@liverpoolphil.com with details of how you would like your name(s) to appear. To ensure your name appears on the bell, please email us by Friday 11 April.
