From family concerts right through to workshops for adults, we provide life-long learning for all ages including:
Adult learning
We work with adults from across the region, delivering public programmes and targeted community programmes which reach vulnerable adults throughout the city.
Families and under 5s
Family workshops, concerts and the Liverpool Philharmonic Experience all offer great ways for families to get involved with music.
Liverpool Philharmonic Children’s Choir & Melody Makers
An excellent introduction to choral singing for children aged 7 – 12 from in and around Liverpool.
Music Education Hubs
We work in partnership with local Music Education Hubs to support teaching and learning in music with schools, and work with local universities.
Schools' Concerts
Since the 1940s, our Schools' Concerts have been inspiring and enthusing children, young people and teachers. Working with Liverpool Philharmonic can be a fantastic way of supporting the delivery of the music curriculum, cross-curricular projects, creative learning and school improvement.
We deliver 13 concerts each year, attended by 18,000 children from 300 schools from Liverpool, across the region and beyond, as far afield as Wales and Yorkshire. We always have strong attendance from SEN schools as they know that our staff go the extra mile to ensure that their pupils are well supported.
Arts Award
Liverpool Philharmonic is proud to be an Arts Award Centre, supporting young people to develop as artists and arts leaders through Arts Award’s unique qualifications. The programme develops creativity, leadership and communication skills. Through Arts Award young people learn to work independently, helping them to prepare for further education and employment. To date, Liverpool Philharmonic has supported 48 young musicians to achieve Arts Award Explore and Silver with In Harmony Liverpool.
