Song Set Manuals

The manuals are designed to take you through how the Songs are used as part of the musicianship journey and ideas of ways to teach and play with them. The manuals also include the Listening Curriculum for that song set and extra resources and songs typically used in those sessions as well. In addition, the manuals take you through how to use the Sticks and Blobs resources that support the theoretical understanding of music.

The Song Sets are used in a cumulative way by increasing the complexity of activity used with familiar songs. For more details of how this fits together for your year group, look at the medium term plans found in the Curriculum and Scheme of Work above. For SS 1-3 manuals, visit the EYFS and KS1 page.

These manuals are continuously updated with new ideas. If you have a suggestion of a game or activity, or a top tip for a certain song, then please do share it with us so that we can all learn from each other!
