Then why not sign-up to the Musician in Residence Supersing! programme?
The course is delivered by a choral specialist, with support from Peer Tutors at Mersey Care Recovery College and musicians from the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra; and run in partnership with Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust Recovery College.
Being able to read music is not a barrier to attending, as the programme will provide audio tracks for people to practice. All that is needed is bucket loads of enthusiasm!
Repertoire will be drawn from much-loved and well-known classical choral works.
The course will run over seven consecutive weeks, and take place at the Life Rooms, Walton.
The first session will be an induction week, giving you a chance to meet the other singers and look over with the outline of the course. The final week will be a performance for friends, family and careers held at Liverpool Philharmonic Music Room.
The programme aims to ignite a passion for singing and provide individuals with the skills and information to either join one of the city’s community choirs, or to set-up their own!
The course is open to those eligible to access Mersey Care’s Recovery College and individuals enrolling in the course would sign-up for the full seven week programme. If you are interested in enrolling you can do so either via the Mersey Care Recovery College, or Nicola Hopson at Liverpool Philharmonic on nicola.hopson@liverpoolphil.com or 0151 210 2901.
