Open Rehearsals for Members

Open Rehearsal Dates

Observe some of the world’s greatest musicians as they prepare for a performance at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall!

Liverpool Philharmonic Members can attend these events – wonderful backstage insights into the day-to-day life of our conductors and musicians, as they rehearse on stage at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.

Each season, Silver Members receive invitations to at least four Open Rehearsals, and Gold Members receive invitations to at least eight Open Rehearsals. Members can also enjoy invitations to VIP events and pre-concert receptions, plus access to our members-only bar, the 1840 Room (pre-booking required). 

To attend an Open Rehearsal, please call 0151 210 2921 or email fundraising@liverpoolphil.com. Event invitations are for two people, so you are always welcome to bring a guest with you. Rehearsals last approximately one hour.

Matthew Halls will lead the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra in a rehearsal of Sibelius's Symphony No.3 in preparation for the concert 'Sunday Afternoon Mozart' which will be performed on Sunday 3 November at 2.30pm in Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.

Karel Deseure will lead the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra in a rehearsal of Mendelssohn's Symphony No.4, ‘Italian’ in preparation for the concert 'Mozart’s Oboe Concerto' which will be performed on Sunday 1 December at 2.30pm in Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.

Chief Conductor, Domingo Hindoyan, will lead the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra in a rehearsal of Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker (excerpts) in preparation for the concert 'Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No.1' which will be performed on Thursday 5 December at 7.30pm in Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.
