Supporting Liverpool Philharmonic in memory of Eric Evans

Eric had a true passion for music. His knowledge, understanding & appreciation all lead to a life-long love of the Classical repertoire. He was a huge supporter of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and despite his extremely busy work schedule and family life, Eric would travel from all parts of the country to make concerts at the Phil. He was never put off by the prospect of missing the last train back, although encores did occasionally lead to a certain level of anxiety!

Eric was a member of the Phil for many years and loved to listen to the Orchestra on stage. He was equally supportive of the community and outreach programmes delivered by the Phil, including In Harmony Liverpool, School's Concerts and the Music and Mental Health programme, which includes programmes for those suffering from dementia.

It is in his memory that we are raising funds to support many of these projects, for which he felt passionate.
