Children and young people

The next generation of music lovers

Liverpool Philharmonic provides a range of ways for children and young people to get involved in performing, enjoying and creating music.

For children aged 7 - 12 with a passion for singing, we offer choral training through our Children's Choir and Melody Makers.

For young people aged 11-23, Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Company offers a range of opportunities through membership of Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Academy Orchestra and Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Choir.

Youth Company provides chamber music experiences, master classes with international artists, supervised concert visits, conducting and composition workshops. Learn about different musical styles and genres including Musical Theatre, Brass Band, Folk and Big Band with industry professionals, and find out more about careers in music through work experience and our annual Music Industry Careers Day.

You can now sign up to our Boy's Singing Day! Find out more below:

Title: Boys’ Singing Day
Ages 9-21
Date: Saturday 30th November 10.30-16.30

Working with national leader in choral singing, Dominic Ellis-Peckham, male singers (trebles, tenors and basses) will be trained in how to harness their individual sound, particularly during the natural transition of the male voice. They will participate in small group singing sessions in range groups with professional singing coaches and then come together to rehearse a selection of music, culminating in a sharing session with parents/carers at the end of the day.
