Dr Michael Jones on John Lennon

Please note this concert has been cancelled due to the coronavirusIf you’re interested in learning more about great music and wine, in the intimate surroundings of our Music Room, you won’t want to miss our Music and Wine series!

Each of these evenings features a conductor or scholar giving insight into recordings of their favourite music. These musical extracts are then paired with wines and cheeses chosen to complement each piece.

Dr Michael Jones, Senior Lecturer in Music at University of Liverpool, and an expert on the music of the Beatles, chooses his favourite John Lennon songs, as a great introduction to the John Lennon Songbook concerts later that week. Each song will be paired to wine and cheese.

Our expert guide to the wine will be Bridget Farr, Wine Development Manager at LWC, the UK’s largest independent drinks wholesaler.
