Film critics recently voted Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo the best film ever made, and Bernard Herrmann’s mesmerising score is one of the greatest of all movie soundtracks. Vertigo is 60 years old this year, so for this one-off screening, Herrmann’s music is performed live by the full Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.
