BLUE DRAG MUSIC PRESENTS

Django's Legacy XI - Mozes Rosenberg Trio

Blue Drag Music returns with the final concert of the 2019 season dedicated to the music of the legendary gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt – this time bringing you Mozes Rosenberg from the legendary Dutch Sinti Gypsy family the Rosenbergs.

In the family albums is a little Mozes Rosenberg with a violin which he holds like a guitar. He learned to play guitar from his father Mimer. Mozes hears from childhood nimble vibratos, lashing chords, fast runs and melancholic melodies between the parked caravans.

Father, grandfathers, cousins and brothers; everyone plays at the camp. The many birthdays and festivals are celebrated with Gypsy Jazz, which new musicians sit and play the stars of heaven. In this way Sinti musicians are born and raised.

Mozes was only 7 years old when he performed with the Rosenberg Trio in the TV program Het vijfde uur. When he was 13, he met the legendary Paco de Lucia in The Hague.

An international breakthrough came in 2005 with the project ‘Ready ‘n’ able’ and the eponymous CD of the same name.
