Grupo Luma unite with the exceptional Mexican pianist Montserrat Fuentes Romero, acclaimed Cuban singer-songwriter George Peguero, and soulful Chilean-British vocalist Saranne Carrasco-Brennan. Together, they will fill the stage with passion, artistry, and the power of Latin American music.
Fifty years ago, brothers Oscar and Francisco left Chile with their family, coming to the UK as exiles from a brutal dictatorship. Since then, their music and stories have taken them around the globe, performing at prestigious festivals and venues.
This concert will showcase the brothers’ most cherished compositions from the past 30 years, alongside arrangements of Latin American classics. Saranne, Montserrat and George will also perform specially selected songs from their own repertoires and join Grupo Luma on stage for collaborative performances during their set.
Prepare to be transported by captivating rhythms, melodies, and narratives that weave together an inspiring tapestry of Latin American culture.
Grupo Luma are Francisco and Oscar Carrasco, Max Alder, Erik Bichard, and Phil Hargreaves.
