The Christians & The Blow Monkeys

Priority booking: Thursday 27 March 10am

General sale: Friday 28 March 10am

The Blow Monkeys and The Christians are both hugely entertaining bands who combine stellar chart success with an incredible live show. This co-headline tour is not to be missed.

The Blow Monkeys epitomised the glamour of mid-80s pop. The band released classic albums such as Animal Magic and She Was Only a Grocer's Daughter, featuring smash hits including ‘Digging Your Scene’ and ‘It Doesn't Have To Be This Way’ respectively. Success, innovation and world tours followed, before the band split in 1990, coming back together in 2008. Since then, The Blow Monkeys have released nine albums and played hundreds of concerts. Now in 2025, comes a sparkling new album Birdsong, featuring original band members Robert Howard (aka Dr. Robert), bassist Mick Anker and saxophonist Neville Henry, plus drummer Crispin Taylor. One thing’s for sure – these Monkeys continue to evolve.

Often described as “The Temptations in ripped jeans”, The Christians’ self-titled, best-selling album was released in 1987. The critically acclaimed recording featured their first five hit singles – ‘Forgotten Town, ‘Hooverville’, When the Fingers Point’, ‘Ideal World’ and ‘Born Again’ – all of which remain fan favourites. More hit tracks followed, and Garry’s distinctive vocals also graced the charity single ‘Ferry Across the Mersey’, where he sang with Paul McCartney, Holly Johnson and Gerry Marsden. Recent studio albums have included Speed of Life, We (which includes the popular Hillsborough tribute ‘Big Red Sky’) and Sings & Strings. After nearly four decades of making music, Garry still fronts the band with his current line-up, delivering hit after hit from an incredible catalogue.
