Here at the Phil, there’s always something new to explore – so we’re throwing open our doors for a day filled with music!
Whether you’re curious about classical or always on the lookout for new artists to love, this is the perfect chance to hear it all. Everyone’s welcome – so drop in and discover your city’s sound…
We’re kicking things off with musical fun and games as the full Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra deliver a family concert packed with familiar favourites, new sounds and a couple of surprises too… Make sure you’re here for 12.30pm, you don’t want to miss it!
Then throughout the afternoon, the Orchestra will be back on stage with a whole load of treats. They’ll bring music from the movies and orchestral big hitters – plus a few of our musicians will be accompanying the incredible Bill Ryder-Jones in a very special performance.
And presenting everything in the Hall, we have Ngunan Adamu – local legend and BBC Radio Merseyside star. Get ready for good vibes, great stories and unforgettable music.
Over in the Music Room…

We’ll be showcasing the very best artists from across the city as some of our closest friends and partners host a series of takeovers. Mellowtone will be bringing us gigs from the phenomenal Grace Elizabeth Harvey, Eugene McGuinness and Lydia Reece, before we hear exciting sets from LIMF Academy stars Faye Donna Francis, Astles, Bethane and Michael Aldag. Then The Jacaranda will be bringing it all to a close, with Dolly Thorne, Courds, Half Smile and Pevova lighting up the Music Room stage.
And there’s more – throughout the day we’ll be running special competitions and exclusive in-person ticket offers you just can’t miss out on!
So whatever you’re looking for, you’ll find it here at Liverpool Philharmonic’s Big Music Day Out.
No need to book – just stop by! Seating in the Hall will be unreserved and in the Music Room, events are all standing with limited seating available in the Music Room bar.
