Liverpool Philharmonic throws open its doors for a day filled with music! Everyone’s welcome, so drop in, enjoy a packed programme of musical taster sessions and experiences, and discover everything we’ve got on offer…
The full Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra – together with Principal Guest Conductor Andrew Manze – will be bringing you three spectacular mini-concerts featuring classical favourites and some of the all-time greats. Also making a special guest appearance on the day will be Liverpool’s own piano superstar, Brad Kella – who’ll be joined on stage by the strings of Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Company.
Our In Harmony Chamber Stars – made up of young musicians from Everton and Anfield – will be performing too, the Hall’s mighty organ will be in full flight in some roof-raising recitals, and you’ll even be able to ‘Come and Sing’ with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Choir, joining them in one of the most iconic choral pieces ever composed.
Over in the Music Room, we’ll be kicking off our Music Room 10 anniversary celebrations with sounds from near and far. Some of our closest friends and partners will be hosting a series of takeovers, showcasing incredible artists and irresistible music from across the city and around the globe. Milap will be bringing us Music for the Mind and Soul with boundary-breaking guitarist Giuliano Modarelli and renowned tabla player Kousic Sen, while Liverpool Acoustic delivers sets from three exciting local artists – Jessica Dives, She’s In The Trees, and Thom Morecroft. LUMA Creations celebrates the rhythms and traditions of Latin America with a vibrant dance collective and the electrifying drumming ensemble Comparsa La Bomba, before Africa Oyé closes the Music Room programme with show-stopping performances from Satin Beige and Cill.
And make sure you keep an eye out – there’s even more still to be announced!
So whether you’re a regular, or you’ve never been to the Hall before, come along and explore a whole world of musical opportunities right on your doorstep.
