Learning to Dance in the Rain
Following a road traffic accident in 2001 which left Paula paralysed from the waist down, this talk covers her journey from elite marathon runner and triathlete to wheelchair athlete, and from Detective Constable with the Metropolitan Police Service prior to the accident, to Detective Inspector working on serious crime including murder and terrorism. The highs, the lows, the ups, the downs but, more importantly, the downright hilarious.
In the words of Vivian Greene, "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning how to dance in the rain".
