Celebrating Sgt Pepper: Live, Echo Arena Liverpool’s 10th birthday and Liverpool 2018
As Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band reaches its half century, and Echo Arena Liverpool celebrates its 10th birthday, the award-winning Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and the nation's premier Beatle group The Bootleg Beatles team up to perform this iconic album live in its entirety. After a sold-out UK tour in Summer 2017, the show is back…bigger and better than ever, with new visuals!
Orchestrated by Nigel Osborne and hosted by the legendary Liverpool poet Roger McGough, this special concert is a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience what Rolling Stone magazine proclaimed 'the number one greatest album of all time' complete with full-blown symphonic backing.
Incorporating many other hits from the heady days of 1967, including ‘Strawberry Fields’, ‘Penny Lane’ and ‘All You Need Is Love’, don't miss this highlight of 2018, which marks 10 years since Liverpool was European Capital of Culture and the Orchestra performed the first ever concert at Echo Arena Liverpool to start that memorable year.
★★★★★ 'Celebrating the 50th anniversary of Sgt Pepper, the real band would have struggled to fake it as well as this…. it was as exhilarating as that remarkable album itself.' The Times, 2 June 2017
