2018 sees the 10th anniversary of Ian's Summer shows at Liverpool Philharmonic. Described by Louder Than War as a ‘Merseyside hero’, Prowse began his career back in 1991 with Polydor and his band Pele.
This year Prowse has also been celebrating the 25th anniversary of the release of The Sport Of Kings, the second album from his former band Pele. Since then, the Mersey troubadour has become a pillar of the Liverpool music scene, with his current band Amsterdam and now with two acclaimed solo albums.
Amsterdam has recorded a duet with Elvis Costello which appears on the Liverpool Number Ones album. His equally successful solo career continues apace, with the likes of Costello, Mick Jones, the late John Peel and many others are members of his celebrity fan club.
Often cited as favourite gig of the year, his Music Room Summer show has songs from every part of Ian's 25 year career.
