Karen Matheson

Hailing from the West coast of Scotland, Karen Matheson’s engagingly contemporary and traditional sound is truly unique and mesmerizing. After over 30 years of recording and performing worldwide, Karen stole the show at the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth games in Glasgow, when her stunning rendition of 'Ae fond kiss' was televised to an audience of over a billion people.

Having produced four acclaimed solo albums, Karen has also been involved in various projects of collaboration worldwide including the award-winning BBC series Transatlantic Sessions, where over the last decade she has filmed tracks with artists like James Taylor, The McGarrigle Sisters, and a host of respected Scottish musicians.
