This Other Eden

As a winner of the Kathleen Ferrier Award and a former BBC New Generation Artist, Kitty Whately has emerged as one of Britain’s most characterful young mezzo sopranos. Tonight she presents a recital with a very personal difference.

This Other Eden is an evening inspired by the landscape of England, with music by Vaughan Williams, Britten and Arne matched by the words of Shakespeare, Walter de la Mare, Thomas Hardy and many others – performed by Kitty’s mother, actress Madelaine Newton.
