Sebastian Bohren violin

Vaughan Williams knew a good tune when he heard one, and his English Folk Song Suite is short but seriously catchy. Our Principal Guest Conductor Andrew Manze has it mastered (one critic called his Vaughan Williams ‘unsurpassed’), but it’s just part of a concert that stars violinist Sebastian Bohren in Mendelssohn’s sparkling Violin Concerto, before joining Johannes Brahms on holiday in the Alps – an old master kicking back and simply letting the melodies flow.
