Programme includes:
Steve Reich New York Counterpoint
Ianuis Xenakis Charisma
Magnus Lindberg Steamboat Bill Jr.
Béla Kovács Homage to Manuel de Falla
Bach Allemande
Salvatore Sciarrino Let me die before I wake

One of our latest signings, Benjamin Mellefont, Principal Clarinet, performs Steve Reich’s New York Counterpoint, a composition intended to capture the throbbing vibrancy of Manhattan.

This programme is packed with revolutionary music from the Baroque era with Bach’s Allemanderight up to the modern day: the kaleidoscopic music of Lindberg’s Steamboat Bill Jr. and the intense duo Charisma written in homage to the French composer Jean-Pierre Guézec.

Steve Reich is an A Level AQA Named Artist.
