Trpčeski and Hindoyan reunite for Latino fire, Iberian flair and melodic French flourish. Venezuelan Moya, Mexican Arturo Márquez and Argentinian Ginastera guarantee a strong South American vibe to contrast the rhythms and melodies from the Basque region which light up Ravel’s jazz influenced Piano Concerto in G. To round off the evening, his unique and compelling take on the Viennese waltz – La Valse – starts off mysteriously calm, descending into a nightmarish dance with death, but ending in an incredibly uplifting way.
