Blackfest Riddims Night

Join BlackFest as they bring Liverpool's finest and national emerging music artists, featuring P3Lz, KOJ, Shoa, Tee, and DJ Soulfultiz, plus a panel discussion on 'Breaking through the Music Industry' hosted by Alex from HipHop HQ.

Hailing from Liverpool, P3Lz is an up and coming artist - her versatile flow and unique sound bring something unseen before in the music world. Over the past year P3Lz has had radio play on BBC 1XTRA, BBC Radio Merseyside and Kiss Radio, featured on BBC Three's Rap Trip: Underground Scenes Uncovered and The Rap Game, and has appeared in ad campaigns for Converse, JD Sports, Nike, and Sports Direct.

Liverpool native KOJ has been leading the local music scene since 2020. His debut single 'Blue Notes' was popular on UK radio stations, and even made a feature in Rob Bruce’s Homegrown show on Capital Xtra. KOJ also displayed his ability to shine in front of the camera in BBC Three's Rap Trip: Underground Scenes Uncovered, where he was a key role in representing the city. In 2021, he has continued to inspire young people in the city by speaking at events, such as Liverpool Philharmonic's Music Industry Careers Fest and Grime vs. Punk at Tate Liverpool.

LIPA graduate Shoa Osbourne is a singer songwriter from Manchester. An authentic stylistic artist whom find peace in expressing her inquisitive mind through thought provoking lyrics and enchanting melodies. Having released four projects since 2015 and with another set to be released by the end of summer 2022, the songstress is embarking on an interesting, diverse and authentic journey for the future. With a style ranging in R&B, soul and hip-hop; Shoa has had radio play from BBC 1XTRA, BBC Introducing, Unity Radio, Legacy FM and Kiss FM.

Owning much to a religious up-bringing, where he honed his multi-instrumental talent and ear for arrangement, TEE’s artistic voice has always retained an appreciation for collective harmony and the diversity of the chorus. He’s an artist shaped and defined by emotive exchange, the constant desire to produce music that "hits you", and teaches, convinces and compels its audience. In the role of narrator, TEE looks to break through the lens of observation to offer a unique expression and shared experience entirely of its moment.
