Christmas Tour

FARA

Setting out on their second Christmas tour, Fara from the islands of Orkney bring their brand of Christmas cheer to venues across the UK.

“We loved the tour last year’ said Jeana Leslie “It was great fun. We re-arranged some of our own music as well as put our own touch on some of the more famous Christmas Carols. Silent Night seemed to be the audience favourite from last year, so it will be interesting to see if that’s the same this time round”

The band, who combine three fiddles, piano and stunning harmonies are no strangers to awards having notched up BBC Young Musician of the Year, The German Critics Award and finalists as BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.

With two albums under their belts ‘Cross the Line’ and ‘Times from Times Fall’ they have received rave reviews and performed at several of the world’s leading festivals and venues.

Their Christmas edition of Silent Night was pick of the week on Radio 4 last year and this year’s tour promises to be no different in bringing cheer and all things Christmas to Music Room at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.'Surely one of the most consistently impressive albums of the year.'
