An Evening with the Dream Team: In Conversation with Pacho Flores and Domingo Hindoyan

In 2020, Pacho Flores – the irrepressible trumpet virtuoso – won over Liverpool Philharmonic’s audience with his exuberant performance and his on-stage rapport with fellow Venezuelan, Chief Conductor Domingo Hindoyan. And so, the new ‘Dream Team’ was born!

Now, join us for a very special event as Artistic Director Sandra Parr hosts Pacho Flores and Domingo Hindoyan in conversation. Having known each other since taking part in Venezuela’s famous El Sistema music programme in their youth, you’ll discover more about these captivating and energetic musicians, have the chance to ask them your own questions, and enjoy delicious drinks and canapés too.   And who knows? We may even be treated to a short intimate performance from Pacho!

Over the years, Pacho Flores has built an enthusiastic following at Liverpool Philharmonic, bringing showstopping performances of classical and folk styles, and often seen on stage with a plethora of trumpets. He was our 2022/23 Artist in Residence, and many will remember the high-energy concert ‘Fiesta!’ in 2023 where Pacho and Domingo brought a ‘programme of bracingly rhythmic Latin music by some of South America’s leading classical composers [...] music that defied you to sit still’ (The Observer).

Ticket sales for this event will raise funds for our campaign ‘Love Music: From the First Note’, which supports all our music education work with young people.

This event will end at approximately 8pm.

Please note there are no concessions or any other discounts for this event.
