Join us for a special screening of the classic film, The Wizard of Oz (premiered in 1939) and a celebration of the 80th birthday of our beloved Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, which opened 80 years ago on 19 June 1939 in all its Art-Deco glory.
We’ll have Wizard-themed cocktails on the bar, our own Judy Garland and characters from the film making their appearance, and staff in period costumes – and if you’d like, you’re invited to dress up as a character from the film!
Proceeds from this event will support the restoration of the historic Rushworth & Dreaper organ at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. The organ will be played pre-screening, as usual, by the inimitable Dave Nicholas.

In this brand new show, Lee shares his stage with a tough-talking werewolf comedian from the dark forests of North America who hates humanity. The Man-Wulf lays down a ferocious comedy challenge to the culturally irrelevant and enfeebled Lee.
