U16s must be accompanied by an adult.

At the request of Tommy Tiernan, this event will be a phone-free experience. More information can be found in our event FAQs below and at overyondr.com.

Tommy Tiernan's brand-new show tommedian is a fun-fuelled trip through the comic imagination of one of the best comedians in the world.

This is a wild, uninhibited and fiercely physical display of stand-up. A madcap parade of characters, memories and ridiculous flights of fancy. Theatrical, poetical and slightly unhinged… Don’t you dare miss it!!!

Tiernan’s legendary record-breaking ticket sales extend across the world. He’s the star of Channel 4’s hit show Derry Girls, appeared on Live at the Apollo (BBC) and is the host of his own critically praised improvised chat show on Ireland’s RTE 1.

“A feral philosopher king.”The Scotsman

“Tiernan can drop in turns of phrase so exquisite that you could call them a sound installation and enter them for the Turner prize.” – The Times

Tickets for this event include a £1 venue restoration levy, included in the ticket price. This fee supports building investment at the Grade II-listed Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.

Event FAQs

What is a phone-free experience and how does it work?

At the request of Tommy Tiernan, use of phones, smart watches and all recording devices will not be permitted in the performance space. Upon arrival at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, all devices will need to be turned on silent or vibrate and then secured in individual Yondr pouches that will be opened at the end of the event as you exit the Hall. You will maintain possession of your device at all times and can access them throughout the event in our designated Phone Use Areas . All pouches and equipment will be sanitized prior to individual use. If you have any questions when you arrive at the venue, please talk to a member of staff.

Won't I get an e-ticket on my phone?

All tickets for this event will be paper tickets and sent out in advance by post. You will not be charged the £2.50 postage fee.

What if I need to make a call?

There will be a clearly signed designated Phone Use Areas around the Hall. All devices must be re-secured in Yondr pouches before returning to the performance space.

I need to use my phone for medical reasons, is that ok?

Yes – anyone needing to use their device for medical reasons will not have to put their phone in a Yondr pouch. Please make yourself known to a steward on arrival and you will be given a wrist band to show that you are exempt.

What if I don’t want to put my phone in a Yondr pouch?

We appreciate your cooperation in creating this phone-free experience. Anyone who does not wish to comply will be refused entry to the Hall. Except for medical reasons, anyone seen using a device during the performance will be escorted out of the Hall.

I usually use my phone to pay, how can I make a purchase?

We strongly advise that you bring a credit or debit card to make purchases. Please be advised that we are a cash-free venue. Even better, you can skip the queue and order your drinks to your seats in advance, here: https://liverpoolphil.com/whats-on/other/at-seat-drinks-orders/3832

Still have questions?

Please ring our box office on 0151 709 3789 (Monday - Friday, 9.30am-5.30pm).
